We have a film on Netflix

25 years after the release of Mutantes S.21, an iconic record for Portuguese music, a documentary recalls the work and history of Mão Morta.

Also 25 years later, Mão Morta returned to Theatro Circo, in their native Braga city, to celebrate the album, which at the time provided the group, only known in the most underground national scene, with recognition by a wider audience.

The nine songs on Mutantes S.21 were recorded live and this record is the basis for the documentary directed by João de Sá, interspersed with stories from the album and from Mão Morta told by members of the band and other participants in the album, and with documents of the time, namely footage of the concert that took place in the same place 25 years earlier.

The result is an unprecedented and assertive portrait of a time and a band – and a record – that are part of the history of Portuguese music.

And now, the film is available on Netflix.
