Braga will be the Portuguese Capital of Culture in 2025!

The city was one of the selected candidate for the European Capital of Culture 2027. On December 7, 2022, the expert panel announced that Évora would be the next Portuguese ECoC 2027. In the same press conference, the Minister of Culture declared that a new initiative would be born – the Portuguese Capital of Culture – awarded in 2024, 2025 and 2026 to Aveiro, Braga and Ponta Delgada, respectively, the finalist cities of the European Capital of Culture 2027, as a recognition for the work carried out by all the cities in the competition. In 2025, Braga will be the Portuguese Capital of Culture.

To kick start this journey alongside Braga25's team and the design studio OOF, we produced a stunning video campaign that captures the essence of this vibrant city. Braga is renowned for its rich cultural heritage and is home to many historic landmarks and vibrant traditions.

As the Portuguese Capital of Culture, Braga will showcase its diverse and dynamic cultural scene to the world.
The slogan for this campaign is “There’s always a Plan B”.
