Hidroval premiered an exhibition about water literacy

From a partnership between HIDROVAL and Escola Azul for the creation of the 2023 calendar, the need arose to have a suitable physical space in order to showcase the extensive collection of over 200 water-themed illustrations submitted by the students.

Fortunately, Pavilhão da Água graciously offered to serve as the venue for this exhibition.

The Water Pavilion (Pavilhão da Água) was one of the most visited spaces during Expo '98 – Lisbon World Exhibition, an event built under the theme “The Oceans, a Heritage for the Future”. It was later donated to the Porto City Council. Transferred to Parque da Cidade (City Park) it reopened its doors to the public on December 28, 2002, constituting itself as an interactive space, par excellence, for the dissemination of science and technology around the theme of water resources.

Present in the market since 1999, Hidroval is a company specialized in pumping and pressurization equipment. From domestic and building solutions to the most demanding industries, we have partnerships with the largest manufacturers in the sector that allow us to respond to all types of problems. Besides this, Hidroval also is an example of how a company should envolve itself in the community. With frequent initiatives that alert to the water-related problems in our society.

Escola Azul (Blue School) is an educational program of the Ministry of Economy and Sea of Portugal whose mission is to promote Ocean Literacy in the school community and create more responsible and participatory generations that contribute to the sustainability of the Ocean.

This project had the participation of 10 schools and more than 200 students from Porto, which culminated in an exhibition in a museum and would not have been possible without the collaboration of Águas e Energia do Porto of Porto City Council.
